Joe Jonas in Balmain Silver Sleeve Leather Bomber Jacket

Joe Jonas hosted a Billboard Music Awards pre-party at TAO Nightclub wearing a Balmain black leather bomber jacket ($5,370), one of my favorites from the Spring/Summer 2011 Collection . It’s detailed with silver arm sleeves with zipper detailing, snap button closure, and slit pockets with a military style patch logo embroidered on the chest. What do you think of his look?

The use of ceramic was previously seen on gold Submariners last year and GMT bezels prior. Two colors are available in black and green with a suggested retail price of $7,400 USD and $7,800 USD respectively.

Christian Louboutin “Crystal” Sneakers Fall/Winter 2010

Something for the bold among you, French luxury shoe designer Christian Louboutin presents his “Crystal” sneakers for Fall/Winter 2010. The sneakers come in two colorways, featuring a mix of suede and heavy usage of rhinestones on the upper. Actually, there are so many rhinestones on the upper, it almost makes it less overwhelming than just a few.

Take a detailed look at the sneakers after the jump.

Rimowa Vintage Series Luggage

In 1950, Rimowa presented the first-ever corrugated aluminum case, which quickly became the preferred case of the traveling elite, thanks to its lightweight, superior construction. Recreating those styles from yesteryear, the Cologne-based company now present its new vintage series. Limited to a production run of 1,950 pieces, the series is offered in six different sizes—small suitcases to large travel pieces. Each numbered case is made of aircraft aluminum (duraluminium) and lined in a deep blue moirĂ© interior, staying true to the aesthetics of the original versions. The handles are carved from a single block of aluminum, the result of a complicated, painstaking construction process, and the “retro” style locks display the case’s count within the 1,950 piece series stamped into the aluminum.
The vintage series will be available exclusively in Rimowa stores worldwide starting December 2010.

Vacheron Constantin Malte Tourbillon Palladium Watch

vacheron constantin malte tourbillon
You've probably never seen one of these before. This watch came out a few years (2008) ago under the radar in the United States (only) with just 10 pieces in the limited edition. It originally sold for well over $100,000 and was mostly unknown to people outside of the dedicated Vacheron Constantin fan groups online and a few retailers (and their clients). Such tactics are smart when trying to appease collectors looking for exclusive pieces, and promoting future collectability. As such, one of these 10 pieces is going to be up for auction during Antiquorum's Sept. 15th auction in New York City. Yield for this Malte Tourbillon is very conservative with an estimated price of just $60,000 - $90,000.

The piece itself is beautiful. Set in a Malte style case, it is made from palladium (very rare as a watch case material), and features a totally skeletonized dial that has a great looking "black platinum" finish. Such finishes assist with contrast, allowing you to identify elements on the dial much better, and further appreciating the craftsmanship (and being able to see the hands most easily). The movement features a massive tourbillon cage with a bridge that looks like Vacheron Constantin's logo. There is a dedicated scale for the time (which is nice on a skeletonized dial), and the movement has a date disc, and power reserve indicator. Decoration is a mixture of modern and classic aesthetic, with a masculine twist.
